Raine is the teacher of the Iselia's school and Genis' older sister. She has great knowledge of archaelogy and magical arts, although she has a rather unhealthy passion for the former. If Lloyd or Genis does something wrong, she won't hesitate to use physical means of punishment, much to the chagrin of the two friends. Raine and her little brother are half-elves, although they state they are elfs to avoid discrimination. She also tries to hide her hydrophobia, which was caused by something that happened during her childhood. She is a logical thinker and a great healer, making her quite an invaluable addition to the party. Her cooking is abhorrent, in contrast to that of her little brother's excellent cooking skills.
